Application Information
Interested applicants may email techharbinger@gmail.com. The subject of the email should be "Student Application". In the body of the email, please include relevant contact information, and the position(s) you are applying for. Please attach your resume and a cover letter. In the cover letter, address (in under two pages) your interest in Harbinger, your interest in the work you will be doing for Harbinger, your current activities, and past experience.

Promising applicants will be contacted for an interview, during which the applicant may be asked to perform duties relevant to the position and evaluated on his or her performance.

All Harbinger positions are unpaid, but staff will receive copies (plural) of the issue(s) created during that timeframe, and other relevant materials exhibiting the quality of the student's work.


Positions Available

Editors
Harbinger is looking for student editors to review submissions for the 2009-2010 issue. Submissions will be accepted from September 1, 2009 to October 15, 2009, and content selection will be made by the end of the semester. Applicants must be familiar with and dedicated to the genre in which they apply; students must also be open-minded and comfortable reviewing creative work quickly, making sound judgements on the quality of the material.

One student will be selected as editor for each of the following genres:
- Visual art

Desginer
Harbinger, student journal of Arts and Letters, is looking for student designers interested in using innovative print design to address the challenges of producing a hard-copy journal of student art and literature. Applicants should be innovative, open-minded, resourceful, professional and reliable, and have print design experience. Student designers will be expected to, with input from editorial staff and advisors, create a print product that is a piece of art in it's own right.

Public Relations
Harbinger, student journal of Arts and Letters, is seeking a student public-relations person interested in organizing and executing events related to film, literature, music and visual art as well as processing requests for and disseminating information about Harbinger to relevant publics. Student should be professional, motivated, pleasant and reliable. A capacity for multi-tasking and writing are a must.
